Permission Granted at Wentworth Business Park, Barnsley - September 2009


 DLP Planning Ltd has recently secured planning permission for the erection of a food sales outlet with associated storage, packaging rooms, servicing and car parking on land at Wentworth Business Park in Tankersley, Barnsley. DLP Planning Ltd  (Sheffield office) prepared the supporting Planning Statement and undertook negotiations with the Local Planning Authority. 

The  development, which has arisen from  the growth of the applicant company's  business and their  requirements  for larger premises and associated parking , provides for a  gross floor space of 3840.5m2 providing 1340.14m2 of food retail space and 2500.36m2 for offices and processing and packaging rooms set over the ground floor, and a mezzanine floor to the rear of the purpose built unit. 

The premises will be able to accommodate 134 parking spaces with an additional 13 disabled person’s parking spaces on site for visitors and staff.

The relocation to Wentworth Business Park will provide a more suitable environment for the business to operate within and will contribute to the economic development of the local area by providing further jobs during the construction process, and as a result of the expansion of the business. An adjacent, existing vacant office unit will provide the business with further opportunity for growth in the future, without causing negative impact on the surrounding land uses.
