Replacement House in Flood Zone – Appeal Success

DLP have successfully obtained detailed planning permission for the erection of a replacement dwellinghouse with a defined flood zone in the Doncaster area following an appeal

The replacement dwellinghouse is set within open countryside will be located within an area defined as being at a higher risk of flooding. However, opportunities to enhance the design and address the risk of flooding have been incorporated into the project, thereby reducing the overall risk to future occupants in the event extreme flooding occurs.  The proposal represents a significant benefit and enhancement over the current situation which currently exists on site.

The development has also included the redesign of the dwelling to meet the applicant requirements and aspirations. Despite the scheme being refused by the LPA, DLP Planning (Sheffield) successfully appealed against the decision, and received a full award of costs.
