Associate Director

Overview

Due to continuing growth, we are looking for qualified and experienced Town Planners to join our friendly and busy planning team.

The successful candidate will be based in our Nottingham office but will also work flexibly with colleagues at other offices and on projects right across the country.

Roles and Responsibilities

As an Associate Director you will work semi-autonomously, under the supervision of Directors. You will lead on projects and engage in both development management and development plan / policy work. This will include, but is not limited to, managing planning applications of all scales, planning appeals, Local Plan representations, site promotion, Local Plan Examination and public inquiry work.

With excellent stakeholder management skills, you will also be offered a high degree of client interface and the opportunity to attend networking events in order to grow your personal contacts and promote the company. You should be self-motivated and will be excited by the prospect of developing your own client base and making a real contribution to the growth of the business.

You will also be expected to assist Directors with the day-to-day management of the office and supervise junior members of the planning team.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for qualified Town Planners ideally with at least 8 – 10 years professional experience (in either private or public sector). Candidates should have a postgraduate qualification in Planning and be a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

A full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a qualified Town Planner ideally with at least 5-10 years’ professional experience (in either private or public sector). Candidates should have a suitable degree (2:1 or above) and postgraduate qualification in Planning.  You should also be a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

Senior Planner

Overview

Due to increased growth and expansion, DLP Planning’s Nottingham office is looking for a Senior Planner to join our friendly and busy team based in the city centre. The Nottingham office works throughout the Midlands on a wide range of projects for public sector, private and community clients and across all sectors. We also work flexibly with colleagues at other offices on an projects right across the country.

We are looking for an MRTPI qualified Town Planner, or someone eligible to actively work towards accreditation in the next few months. We offer a mentoring programme and one specifically geared to RTPI Accreditation.  The successful candidate will play a key role working on range of exciting projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

The role offers a fantastic opportunity to continue your career in Planning and work across the spectrum of town planning activities including; the promotion of large-scale development projects; the preparation and submission of planning applications; appeals for a range of development types; and local plan representations.

The successful candidate will be a positive, proactive individual with the drive to meet client expectations and promote the business.  You will be expected to possess good analytical, presentation and written skills, together with a proven ability to manage your time effectively.

As a Senior Planner in the private sector and you will be exposed to a range of tasks, as well as CPD training opportunities to develop you as a professional.  We also have an established staff mentoring system to help guide your professional and personal development.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a qualified Town Planner ideally with 3-5 years professional experience (either private or public sector). Candidates should be educated to undergraduate level (2:1 or above) and should also obtained a postgraduate qualification in Planning.

Ideally you will have already obtained chartered membership of the RTPI.  We will however consider candidates who are still working towards accreditation and full support and sponsorship towards this will be provided by the company.
