Permission secured for works at Waste Management Premises

DLP is pleased to announce that consent has been granted by Sheffield City Council for external plant equipment and an internal heat exchanger at the premises of an established waste management company in Sheffield. Following previous work for the company, DLP were responsible for co-ordinating the full planning process. The investment in new plant will assist in expanding the waste management solutions for the treatment, recovery, and recycling of materials processes on site.

The technical requirements for the investment in heating and cooling facilities were essential for the business to meet performance criteria. By investigating permitted development rights available to commercial premises and establishing what additional works were needed to secure the accommodation of the new plant materials, DLP were able to provide a compelling case which will enable this long established business to continue to grow and operate from their existing site.

It was important to recognise and respond to the operational needs of the business, particularly the nature of the specialist service and its contribution to sustainable development and recycling of materials which can contribute to a more sustainable environment.
